Day of the Dead 2021

Celebrate the colorful and life-affirming traditions of Día de los Muertos with the Day of the Dead Forever stamps. Four designs feature decorated sugar skulls representing members of a family: a child with a hair bow, a father wearing a hat and mustache, a mother with curled hair, and another child. Lit candles symbolize beacons guiding departed loved ones back to the land of the living, while vibrant marigolds—traditionally associated with the holiday—stand out against the black backgrounds. Luis Fitch designed and illustrated the stamps, and Antonio Alcalá served as art director. Issued in 2021 in panes of 20, these Forever stamps are always equal in value to the current First-Class Mail one-ounce rate.
