Hanukkah 2022

Celebrate Hanukkah, the joyous Jewish holiday also known as the Festival of Lights, with this colorful Forever stamp. The design is based on an original fiber-art wall hanging that was hand-dyed, appliquéd, and quilted to create an abstract image of a hanukkiah, the nine-branched candelabrum used during Hanukkah. Blue and purple represent the sky, green and brown symbolize the earth, and vivid yellow and orange evoke the holiday’s light and warmth. Jeanette Kuvin Oren created the artwork and designed the stamp, while Ethel Kessler served as art director. Issued in 2022 in panes of 20, this Forever stamp is always equal in value to the current First-Class Mail one-ounce rate.
