Jack-O’-Lanterns 2016

Celebrate Halloween with the delightfully eerie Jack-O’-Lanterns Forever stamps. Four photographic designs feature glowing pumpkins carved with distinctive expressions against dramatic black backgrounds. Creatively carved jack-o’-lanterns have been American Halloween symbols since the late 19th century, and this 2016 release marked the first Halloween-themed stamp issue from the U.S. Postal Service. Paul Montanari designed and carved the pumpkins, Sally Andersen-Bruce photographed them, and Derry Noyes served as art director and stamp designer. Issued in double-sided booklets of 20, these Forever stamps are always equal in value to the current First-Class Mail one-ounce rate.
