Liberty Bell 2008

Introduced in 2007 as the first U.S. Forever stamp, the Liberty Bell stamp features one of the nation’s most recognizable symbols of independence and freedom. Its artwork presents a computer-generated image of the historic bell created by Tom Engeman, with Carl T. Herrman serving as designer, art director, and typographer. Originally issued on April 12, 2007, in Philadelphia, this nondenominated stamp was created to make future postage-rate changes more convenient for customers. Regardless of its purchase date or original price, it is always valid for the current First-Class Mail one-ounce letter rate.
