Barn Postcard 2021

Celebrate the beauty and history of American barns with these four postcard stamps featuring iconic structures from the nation’s rural landscape. Kim Johnson’s digital paintings use distinctive light and color to represent the four seasons: a round barn surrounded by the warm, hazy light of autumn; a gambrel-roofed barn in summer; a forebay barn in an early-spring countryside; and a Western barn on a snowy winter night. Ashley Walton designed the stamps, and Greg Breeding served as art director. Issued in 2021 in panes of 20 and coils of 100, these nondenominated stamps are intended for mailing standard domestic postcards.
