Gingerbread Houses 2013

Celebrate the whimsical and delicious holiday tradition of building gingerbread houses with these festive Forever stamps. Four colorful designs feature houses constructed from gingerbread, royal icing, and assorted candies against a bright blue background. Sugared fruit slices form the shingles, peppermint sticks serve as support beams, and candy-coated chocolates become doorknobs and holly berries. Baker and gingerbread-house architect Teresa Layman created the houses, Sally Andersen-Bruce photographed them, and Derry Noyes served as art director and stamp designer. Issued in 2013 in booklets of 20, these Forever stamps are always equal in value to the current First-Class Mail one-ounce rate.
